Cinema nights return to Barnes Green
The team that brought you screenings on Barnes Green in 2015 and 2016 is working hard to deliver two exciting outdoor cinema events this summer. We can’t share the exact details with you just yet but please keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks.
And do save the first confirmed date in your diary:
Saturday 20th July 2019
We are working hard on a second date which we hope to release ASAP
This fantastic 10 mile race has been going on for several years but last year Barnes Runners agreed to run, not only to raise money for their club, but to raise money for the BCA Christmas Lunch. The Christmas Lunch is organised every year by the BCA to ensure that no one in the local community need be on their own on Christmas Day. In addition, the money raised last year also supported the BCA Defibrillator project. .
The BCA are incredibly grateful to the Barnes Runners for this event.
Following last year's hugely successful run, the Turkeys will be out in force again later this year. This is a 10 mile race over a 6 and a 4 mile loop, which starts at The Coach & Horses. All participants will receive a medal and the Coach & Horses is providing a free pint and turkey bap afterwards for all the runners.
If you are interested in taking part, please contact Chris Peskett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also looking for volunteers to act as marshals on the day. If you could spare the time to do this and cheer on the runners, please email Leyla at email@example.com.
Come along and show your support and don't forget to donate at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/leyla-hutchings.
Thank you from the BCA and Barnes Runners!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Barnes’ Christmas Festival gets bigger and better ever year! This year, Barnes’ most festive celebration will take place on Friday 6th December 2019 - details will be announced closer to the time. See below for details and photos from 2018. Ho ho ho!
Thank you to Sarah Willis for the photographs
This annual event is for not-for-profit organisations and is a great opportunity for these organisations to showcase to the residents of Barnes and Mortlake what they do and to attract new supporters, volunteers and members. It is also a great chance to network with other societies and clubs in the area.
