'One Barnes' Ponder Project Brings New Life to Castelnau Phone Box

The ideas from the Barnes Ponder 2 continue to take shape, with local volunteers turning vision into reality. The One Barnes Ponder team, which focuses on projects that bring our community together, has seen one of its first projects completed this summer thanks to the skills and dedication of the BCA Men’s Shed team.

If you’ve walked near Hammersmith Bridge recently, you may have spotted the transformation of the long-derelict phone box on Castelnau. Over the summer months, the Men’s Shed team carefully restored the booth, giving it a fresh coat of paint and preparing it for a new lease of life as a planted feature. This project is just one example of how the Barnes Ponder continues to inspire positive, practical change across Barnes.
