BCA Book Exchange opens on Barnes Green

We are delighted to announce that the new BCA Book Exchange has officially opened on Barnes Green, right next to the Barnes Green Centre.

The idea was first suggested by Alex, a local young girl with a passion for books. Thanks to her inspiration, and the hard work of the BCA Men’s Shed team, this vision has now become a reality. The team rescued and transformed a sentry box that once stood on Hammersmith Bridge. The sentry box has been converted into a vibrant little library for all to enjoy. Stocked with a collection of books for both adults and children, the book exchange is simple to use: drop off a book you’ve finished and pick up something new to enjoy. Whether you’re passing through the Green, visiting the Centre, or out for a stroll, we encourage everyone to stop by, browse the shelves, and take part in this wonderful new addition to Barnes.
