Ponder volunteers update Town Team meeting on their work on behalf of the community

 The Barnes Town Team met on 19 November and volunteers shared their updates on Ponder projects to a packed room of residents.  These are just some of the initatives that they have been working on –

 

  • The One Barnes team spoke about the new Barnes website and Sarah Arthur from the Barnes Bugle shared plans for the new community website

  • The Men’s Shed team spoke about the community projects they have delivered recently including the renovation of the phone box by Hammersmith Bridge and the community book exchange on Barnes Green and shared their plans for the future

  • The Travel Barnes team spoke about their response to TfL’s consultation on buses in Barnes, on the petition to stop HGVs using The Terrace and on their 10 priorities for travel in Barnes.

  • High Streets Barnes updated on their trial of community markets at Holy Trinity Church and on the Safe Havens initiative.

  • Placemaking Barnes spoke about their ambitions for improving the public realm across Barnes.
