Turkey Run

Ross Notthingham, a local resident from Elm Bank Gardens organised the first Barnes Turkey Run, held on 4th December. A group of 12, some in fancy dress, set off at 0930am from The Ginger Pig to run an 8 mile course along the tow path. Leading from the front, Ross sported a fetching turkey outfit. The group kindly raised money for the BCA's Christmas Lunch. Ross who works for Hiscox RE intends to apply for match funding from his company. BCA is hugely indebted to this group of individuals for raising funds for us. The Christmas Lunch is an event we organise every year so that no one needs to be on their own on Christmas Day. Big thanks to Ross and everyone who took part. Ross hopes to make Barnes Turkey Run an annual event. Details of how to get involved will be available via our website in time for next year's event.
