Every year surplus funds generated by the BCA are distributed amongst local good causes and organisations such as local schools, centres for the elderly, theatres, Brownies, Guides and Scouts.
If you are seeking funds on behalf of a local community group, charity or not for profit organisation whose activities take place in the local area for the benefit of local, please complete our charitable funds application form.
We are also responsible for the distribution of funds donated by trust and foundations like the Porters Trust to local groups and not for profit organisations.
If you manage or represent a local trust and would like the BCA to allocate awards on your behalf, please contact our chairman, Steven Mindel .
The BCA organises a number of major events throughout the year which would not be possible without the generous support we receive from local businesses. Sponsorship opportunities regularly arise and if you are interested in supporting any of our events or environmental projects please see our sponsorship brochure
, which provides a synopsis of the events organised by the BCA and its partners, details of when and where they take place, along with click-through links to fillable forms for you to express interest in sponsorship. With events encompassing sport, literature, fashion and the local environment amongst others, there is a wide range to choose from.
The constitution of the BCA has recently changed. As a result, one of the principal changes is the need for sponsorship arrangements to be a matter of formal record. We hope that we can use this opportunity to ensure that all businesses who would like to be involved are able to do so; in recent years the numbers wishing to take part in sponsoring BCA and partnered events has increased and we heartily welcome this.
Local commercial organisations can help the BCA’s aims and objectives by becoming corporate members. Please visit our membership section
to join up.
