Thank you to everyone – exhibitors, visitors and volunteers – who helped ensure the success of this year’s Barnes Food Fair on 17 September. It was a great day with a huge selection of food and drink to enjoy, all accompanied by live music on the Bandstand. The Marquee was packed with small, food producers and the cuisine in the picnic area ranged from Columbian to Greek, Thai, Moroccan and French specialities, as well as Champagne and Oyster tents and a new Marquee from Orange Pekoe serving delicious tea and coffee inspired cocktails. The cookery demonstrations were very popular and The Barnes Green Centre was transformed into an exclusive Pop Up restaurant, courtesy of chef Phil Howard at Sonny’s Kitchen. Money raised from the event will go to local charities including the NSPCC.
